HAVE YOU NOTICED?

There are no accidents and no coincidences.
Every sign you notice, every word you hear
spoken, every color, every scent, every sound,
every event and situation is the Universe
speaking to you, and you are the only one
who knows their relevance to you, and what
the communication is saying. Use your eyes
to see! Use your ears to listen! Use all of your
senses, because you are receiving cosmic
communication through them all.

~Creative Novella

Have you had a good week?
Have you taken the time to
pause, to pay attention and
notice the moments that
make up your days, your
week, your life?

Have you smelled
pretty flowers and
marveled at the color?

Watched the darkness
fade away to light?
Listened to the birds
talk?
Walked barefoot in
the soft, green clover?
Watched clouds dance
across the sky and felt
the wind on your face?
Found a ladybug
trying to get comfortable?
Realized just how cool
your cat's eyes really are?
Spent time watching
ants moving about
their day?

Enjoyed time with a
loved one, if only for
a few hours?

Told your 'people'
you love them?
Been awed by the moon?

Fallen asleep listening to
the insects chirp as a cool
breeze blows in an open
window?

Been thrilled that your
almost twenty year old
rosemary plant flowers
often and feeds the bees?
Looked a bee right
in the eye?
Noticed the fuzzy down
on the back of a bubble bee?

Spied  fungi that
needs help to exist?
Wondered at the
age of a tree?

Noticed that your allergies
will soon be a mess, but
this year you are prepared?

 Have you fed your
creative side?

Your body?

Listened to quiet
and prayed?

It has been a good week
in my world, a good life,
how about you?

Much love,
Tracey

I AM LEARNING

We are not perfect,
we are learning.
That's the beauty
in our specific journey.

~ Alex Elle

I have spent hours and hours
and hours this week working
on my photography skills, it's
been slow going. I wonder
if I will ever remember about
iso, aperture, and shutter speed
without having to go over it
in my head every single time?
Maybe not, but I'm having fun,
well, for the most part, and
it's all about the journey right?

I have been working on my
blanket quite a bit this week.
I decided I'm not going to put
a deadline on finishing it, I'm
just going to enjoy it when I
feel like working on it and
if it takes ten years then that
is okay.

I ripped out my toe up sock
yesterday. I made a mistake
while working the heel and
couldn't figure out how to
fix it without make a big mess
of the whole thing. I recast
on cuff down and am going
to see if I can work out the
pattern so I can still knit the
cable down the back.
My next pair of socks? Toe
up for sure because it's
important to work your
brain and I want this skill.

I was asked in the comments
where I purchased my egg
holder and while I picked
this one up locally,  I did look
on Amazon and saw they had
holder's that were similar.

My dreams of snow went away
with the weather forecast, but
at least for the next few days
it's going to be cold, and then
on Sunday? 68 degrees!

Enjoy the weekend and
the journey!

Love,
Tracey

Thank you all so very much for your
well wishes concerning the passing
of my Pappaw. I am doing much
better and while I will miss him, I
will remember him and to me that is
very important.

My weekend has been filled with
shopping along side a sweet daughter
in love. We spent Saturday visiting
local shops and doing a little Christmas
buying. I discovered a new to me
shop Olive the Above that carries
flavored olive oils and balsamic
vinegars.; I could drink the honey
ginger vinegar by the mug! I might
have bought a few bottles to keep
in my kitchen ;)

I have been knitting away on my
Christmas gifts, finishing a pair of
socks and a pair of mittens.  I did
visit the LYS while in town and
brought home a few new yarns,
but they won't be cast on until
I finish what I've already started,
maybe ;) Is it the yarn fumes that
makes knitting so addictive? What
ever the cause I am thankful to
have learned this life skill.

I wanted to introduce you to the newest
member of the farm,  Lannister, a Bantam
rooster to keep Daenerys and Arya
company. He has the sweetest little
crow that has been bringing a smile
to my face all week.

My daughter, Erin, along with her love,
John and sweet little Emerson brought
me a tree today and even helped put the
lights on. I have started to pull out the
ornaments, many belonging to my Mike's
grandmother, and will slowly get the
tree decorated this week. I am in no
hurry, I am just going to enjoy each
activity the season brings and hold all
the memory making close to my heart.

One sleeve complete,
working on the second.
Finished the ribbing for
the body and now it's
on to the charts, working
two charts simultaneously,
a first for me.
Acer is a joy to knit and I'm
enjoying every stitch.
