WEEKENDING...AND A LITTLE CATCH UP

"Some say I'm too sensitive,
but truth is I just feel too much.
Every word, every action, and
every energy goes straight to
my heart."

~Nofacewrites

How is everything in your world?
Here life is good, although I am
having trouble keeping up with
the days, they seem to fly by and
before I know it another one has
passed.

This past week has mostly
been rainy and very warm.
Yesterday it was in the 80's
and I was very tempted to turn
on the a/c and now today it is
only 57F and raining again.

I have been embracing all things
woolie. I knit another hoodie cowl,
tried my hand at woolie tattooing
a pair of fingerless gloves and one
night when I couldn't sleep I knit
a hat and topped it with a giant
pompom.

UPS stopped by and delivered
a package, beautiful socks to
for the homeless and the prettiest
yarn for me, Thank You Donna
for such an unexpected surprise.

I had book club the other day and
when I was walking up the drive
I discovered a purple mushroom.
Purple! I have never seen a purple
mushroom before and yesterday
when I checked on it I discovered
it was all grown up.

I had a little sleep over with the
always sweet Porter. He has
discovered his toes and loves
being read to,Brown Bear, Brown Bear,
What do you see? seem to be a big
hit.

Now it's quiet. I have a pot of
15-bean soup on the stove,
a huge salad to eat,  later my
Alex and I are going to watch
this, and of course there will
more knitting.

SWEET "P"...YARN ALONG

“And in the act of making things, just by
living their daily lives, they also make history.

Knitting is clothing made in spare moments,

or round the fire, whenever women gathered
together... It's something to celebrate-clothes
made in love and service, something women
have always done.”

~ Anne Bartlett

A sweet wee cardigan
for a sweet wee one
who just turned three
months old.

A well written pattern that
takes you step by step so
there are no guess work and
has me browsing the designer's
page for more items to cast
on.

Using Red Heart Anne Gedde's
Baby Yarn so it can be thrown
in the wash with ease, important
for a young working family.

After being disappointed in my
last two books I have finally found
a book that I am enjoying, at
least so far, so my hopes are high.
Ordinary Grace ...

From Amazon::

“That was it. That was all of it. A grace
so ordinary there was no reason at all to
remember it. Yet I have never across the forty
years since it was spoken forgotten a single word.”

Told from Frank’s perspective forty
years after that fateful summer,
Ordinary Grace is a brilliantly
moving account of a boy standing
at the door of his young manhood,
trying to understand a world that
seems to be falling apart around him.
It is an unforgettable novel about
discovering the terrible price of
wisdom and the enduring grace of God.

I would love to read your answers. :)

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

"We are traveler's on a comic,
stardust swirling and dancing
the eddies and whirlpools of
infinity. Life is eternal.
We have stopped for a moment
to encounter each other, to meet,
to love, to share. This is a precious
moment. A little parenthesis in
eternity."

~ Paulo Coelho

Another week is coming to a close
and the weekend is almost upon us.

My days have been filled with
precious moments, moments I
want to always remember....

I've walked early each morning
and noticed my flashlight stays
on a little longer, although the
heat is still stifling.

The cattails are prolific this year
and I can't wait to use them in a
few ways.

I've been spending as much time
as I can with my daughter, son in
love and wee Emerson.

We braved the tourist crowd and
took a ride over to Hilton Head Island,
visited the bookstore, browsed Whole
Foods for a few needed items and
some items we didn't need, had
a great dinner at a local pizza joint,
laughed and made memories.

Wednesday I stayed in my pj's all day,
not even going outside to walk.
I think all the going and doing just wore
me out, my body hurt all over and I
was just exhausted. A day of rest, reading,
knitting, drinking cups of coconut water
and vegetable broth and I feel much
better.

Tomorrow I'm headed to the beach for a
girls day, Beaufort Water Festival begins
tomorrow night and on Saturday I will
be watching little Porter, it's going to
be busy.

I hope your weekend is as fun as the
one I'm planning.

Much love,
Tracey

MY PAST WEEK

Along your pathway of life you will observe
that you are not the only traveler. There are
others who need your help. there are feet to
steady, hands to grasp, minds to encourage,
hearts to inspire, and souls to save.

~ Thomas S. Monson

Well, it feels good to be here. To be honest I
wasn't sure I would be back in this space,
I had thought maybe it was time to
move on, but after taking a week off
I found myself missing you, wondering
how things are going in your lives,
what you are creating, eating, reading,
if you are healthy and happy.
I have really come to love you all.
This month my blog is five years old
