"You must do something
to make the world more
beautiful." ...

~Barbara Cooney

and Camilla does just that.

Her new shop Mountain Girl Yarns
is filled with the most lovely of yarns,
have you had a chance to visit? The
only problem I encountered was trying
to decide which yarn to put in my cart,
I wanted them all. I finally decided on
the yarn Town and Country, not only
for the awesome colors of the yarn, but
for the name, I love it.

I placed an order on Friday and received
it today, Montana to South Carolina in
three days, wow! Kudos to the PO too
for really helping.

I know I am suppose to be working on
my Christmas knitting, but I couldn't
resist winding up a few cakes and casting
on another pair of socks. Sock knitting =

When you get a moment stop by and
say Hello to Camilla, she is beautiful
inside and out.

PS: I am not compensated for this
post, these are my feelings that I
share freely with you.

  1. Oh Yay! What a lovely post, and so true about Camilla (what I know of her at least). I simply CANNOT wait for my yarn to arrive though I imagine it will take a little longer to arrive here in Canada... sigh. What do you think, should we have a little unofficial Mountain Girl Knit Along?.... wonder if Camilla would mind. A nice follow up pair to your Indian Summer socks. Wishing you a lovely start to your week, Tracey! xo

  2. How wonderful! Like Leigh, I think my order might take a little longer to arrive. That won't stop me from checking the mailbox though :) Enjoy your knitting with that lovely yarn.

  3. Beautiful! I can see why you couldn't resist!!

  4. What a label - half the fun of buying handmade yarn I believe!

  5. beautiful yarn and Camilla does amazing dye works :)

  6. and I wholeheartedly agree, too!!!!!

  7. wow her yarns are beautiful Tracey...I love her logo too. I was just about to buy a skein but unfortunately the postage to the uk is just a bit too high and would make them a very expensive pair of socks.I'll see if I can resist the temptation for a little while.

  8. Very pretty yarn!

    ~Have a lovely day!

  9. Oh wow, Tracey! That is some beautiful yarn! I love how vibrant the colors are and I am looking forward to seeing how beautiful the socks turn out to be!

  10. oh yay! I haven't checked back recently. I'll go right now to look! I've got five projects going right now so I'll not be starting anything just yet.

  11. what sweet, beautiful yarn!! Can't wait to see the finished socks!!

  12. Beautiful yarn! I'm going to have to hop on over and check out what else she has. If I buy anything, I'll just blame it on you... ;-)

  13. How fun to find a new yarn dyer. It looks playful.
