What dreadful hot weather we have!
It keeps me in a continual state
of inelegance.
~Jane Austen
Someone forgot
to tell my favorite
tree that even
though temperatures
have been in the
80's it is really
autumn.
Well, at least
my tree will look
elegant for
Thanksgiving.
xx
OH, MY. Poor thing is so confused. (So am I on most days! Think I can blame mine on the weather, too?!!)
ReplyDeleteYou are funny! We have had the wettest weather this year and the leaves were not as brilliant as last year. I think because of too much rain.
ReplyDeleteLOL, what confusion! let's just hope it does the same again in spring... here it is just the other way round: it's super super cold, even freezing at times, i sometimes think too cold for November. But we might as well just get used to it... have a great day Tracey!
ReplyDeleteA continual state of inelegance! Don't you just wish that people still talked that way? Of course, if they still talked that way they would still dress THAT way... I'm just too lazy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
I KNOW!!! This is killing me, really. And the poor confused trees...sigh...

Some of our trees are in full bloom. Nature is playing tricks on us although the temperatures are slowly going down. Looking forward to some knitting by the fire
ReplyDeletei know! weather has been crazy warm here too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry.. Autumn has gone on vacation. She'll be back soon!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Florida; this time of year, it can be 85 degrees one day, 45 the next.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a poetry buff Tracey! You always select just the right poem or quote that compliments your post perfectly. And hey, I feel like Autumn has disappeared too, except for opposite reasons...the high was 48 today here! Burrrrrrrrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteOh if only you could hop up here for some cool air. We were in the low 20s (-5 celsius) while the sun was up today. I'm afraid to look what it is now.
ReplyDeletei missed this, i do hope it cools down for you. i'll send you some fog and damp grey!
ReplyDelete80's?! Yipe! Hopefully this will pass soon. I used to get dreadfully irritated when I lived in GA and this happened. Come to think of it, I get irritated when it happens up here. ;)
