Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I had been knitting constantly
trying to finish my Heat. There
was a mistake in the triangle,
but I decided to ignore it, although
every time I looked my eyes
were drawn to it. I was knitting
the border, almost done with
the first of three repeats when
I made another mistake in my
counting, so in a 2:00 a.m. knitting
session I decided to rip back the
whole border and start over. After
I ripped out the border I wasn't
really happy with how loose the
side stitches were so the only
thing to do was to rip out the rest
of it and start completely over.
Truthfully I am happy that I
started over, there are no mistakes,
{so far}, and I have had lots of
knitting in my days and nights
and that is never a bad thing.
I am reading Desilu, the story
of one of my favorite television
couples. The book is okay, just
a little too much producer talk
about money and contracts for
my taste. I think I might have
been happier reading this, maybe
next time.
