a little thought for others
makes all the difference.

Christmas, I am also knitting
many, many dish cloths. Super
easy....
Cast on 40 stitches of cotton
yarn on size 8 needles. Garter
stitch for 22 raised rows and
bind off. See? Easy!
I use these cloths for everything
from dish washing, dusting, cleaning
mirrors to washing my face and
polishing silver. I love them and have
found they make a nice addition to
a Christmas basket.
I am rereading an old favorite...
Gift of Faith, a book that I find
comfort in when the world becomes
a little too much.

ReplyDeleteyikes!!!! that basket is FULL.....and I know you've been working on other things (like that awesome crochet hook!) I, personally, just LOST an hour in my day---looks like you gained several.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like some good car knitting. Those washcloths I could make I my sleep! Sounds like a plan!
ReplyDeleteSocks and dish cloths - two great things to knit in the warmer weather. I just love that bookmark!
ReplyDeleteWash cloths are such easy, pretty gifts to give that everyone uses.
ReplyDeleteWe are reading Winnie-the-Pooh aloud here and Eeyore just cracks me up; he is like my inner voice and Lyddie says yesterday, "Mom!! Eeyore is soooo grumpy!!!!"
ReplyDeleteLovely basket of cloths, I always mean to knit that many. Maybe I need to find a basket with the specific intent to fill it up, then I will do it. Beautiful pictures and thanks for your prayers! <3
I adore the picture of your knitting basked under the tree! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Tracey, and that basket of wash clothes is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love your basket of washcloths! They sound like comfort knitting to the extreme. :)
ReplyDeleteYour cloths look so pretty nestled together in that basket. I hope you're having a good week, Tracey.
ReplyDeleteLove all those wash clothes!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour basket of wash cloths makes me feel so happy! You are so right, they are so useful but it feels so satisfying to take something so basic and make it by hand and in lovely colours. I think there should be some dishcloth knitting in my near future, too. I just need to find the perfect basket to showcase them, like you did :-)
ReplyDeleteI like how you're busy knitting away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely basket full of color!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I've stopped by, I'm so sorry. But I'm glad I'm back. Your pictures are breath taking as always! I love making dishclothes as well and like you, we use them for just about everything. I think my problem is though that I always try and make special little patterns. I should just keep it simple. Maybe I would be able to make more!
