WEEKENDING

"The older you get,
the more you realize
that it isn't about the
material things, or
pride or ego. It's
about our hearts
and who they beat for.

~ R.A.

This has been an 'all about
family' weekend.

A trip up the road to my
son Charlie and his wife
Ashley's home for a little
photo shoot and some horse
loving. A little girl who's day
was made as she rode her
Marsh Tacky horse, Moonshine.

A birthday party at the bowling
alley with all of my babies, their
partners and lots of friends. This
is the last time my whole family
will be together for several years
so there was a lot of laughter and
a few tears.

There has also been time to knit
and finishing the pullover for
Emerson. I will post photos
after it finishes blocking.

Eating Greek grilled cheese sandwiches:
warm fluffy pita with aged cheddar,
and feta cheese, caramelized onions,
and fresh diced tomatoes with a side of
tzatziki sauce for dipping.

Eating birthday cake, really good
birthday cake.
I blame it all on Karen and her
talk about cake for the last
few weeks ;)

Tomorrow I spend the last day with
my favorite girl before we drive to the
airport.  Trying not to cry..

  8. What perfect family photos....(we judge if everyone's eyes are open...you even got great smiles!!!). Such exciting times for your babes.....tears of excitement and joy and they set off on their adventure. Can't put $$$ to the experience they are about to undertake!!! Better study up on your German....Emerson will most likely return bilingual!!!

  12. What a beautiful weekend you spent together. I'm glad you all had the chance, though I know it will be hard to be apart now. Emerson is about a month older than my daughter, by the way. I thought they seemed similar in age from seeing your photos and they're just weeks apart. Take care, Tracey, and have a good week.

  15. Tracey, it looks like you had a terrific weekend. You have some fantastic pictures as a reminder. I know having your daughter and Emerson move away is going to be very difficult for you. Guess that means the newest little guy will get lots of extra Olly time!
