BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

The most beautiful people we have
known are those who have known
defeat, known suffering,  known
struggling, known loss, and have
found their way out of the depths.
These persons have an appreciation,
a sensitivity, and an understanding
of life that fills them with compassion,
gentleness, and a deep loving
concern. Beautiful people do not
just happen.

~ Elizabeth Kubler Ros

The weekend has been filled with::

flowers opening,
the turning of the calendar,
long, long country roads,
watching the tide go out,
finishing a knitting project
{more later},
celebrating birthdays with
beautiful people,
baby shower planning,
a pretty new egg holder,
the chance of snow by the
end of the week!

Weekending with Karen

  18. Tracey, the little babe and I just flipped our Phoebe Wahl calendar over to February too! I REALLY loved the January scene - it looked just like our house, but with two children - and had such a warm and cozy feel to it.
