SEED CRACKERS:: A RECIPE

To eat is necessity,
but to eat intelligently
is an art.

~ La Rochefoucauld

I had several requests for the
cracker recipe I created. I
will share with you what I
did, but please know I just
used what I had on hand,
please feel free to do the same.

Seed Crackers

Combine in a large bowl...

1 cup brown rice flour
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4  cup almond flour
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1 cup cooked quinoa
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 flax seed
1/2 raw pumpkin seeds
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
1 Tablespoon chia seed
1 teaspoon salt

Mix well, then add....

7 Tablespoons of coconut oil
to 1 1/2 cups water.

Slowly add to dry ingredients
and mix well. Add more water,
a Tablespoon at a time, if too
dry. You want the mixture to
hold together. Divide in half
to make it easier to work with
and roll really thin.  Cut in
squares, circles, triangles, just
whatever you like. Bake a cookie
sheets at 375 degrees until light
brown and crisp. Store in an
air tight container.

I'm not sure how long they keep
since I have a 17 year old bottomless
pit that lives in my home and is never
full, he devoured them in about
a day and a half. :)

  1. Thank you Tracey, can't wait to try them. Funny, you have a 17 year old who is a bottom less pit, I have a five year old that is the same :) "I'm hungry" is something I hear all day long.

  3. I bet these are delicious. My 18-year-old is still a bottomless pit when it comes to food. Hubby and I figure we will save enough on our food bill when he leaves to support him during his two years in Mexico.
