I am curious about your kitchen,
the icebox actually. Do you use your
icebox to hang notices, calendar's,
artwork? Does it make it feel more
homey with things decorating it?
Or are you more comfortable with
it just blank, or almost blank? I
have one magnet the lives on
the front of mine and that is all...
on TOP. ;)
The front of our fridge is not magnetic and therefore stays blank. One side has potholders and the grocery list hanging on it, while the other displays our calendar, recipes I want to try and "stuff". Not too terribly cluttered, but definitely not a blank slate.
ReplyDeleteI have a few magnets that mean quite a bit to me, but on top...vitamins and medicines :-) I like your magnet. Perfectly uncluttered! m.
ReplyDeleteI have a few magnets, a kitchen timer and a small white dry erase board (for the weekly menu) on the top part, the lower part is empty and there is almost nothing on top, just two bowls that are too big for any cabinet (my bread making bowls, the tea kettle and a lazy susan.
ReplyDeleteThere is a calender on one side, the other side is against the wall. The front has a few magnets with quotes that I enjoy, some rotating artwork from the little man and a small collection of magnets from places we have visited.
ReplyDeleteLove your magnet, and the look of your kitchen :)
I had to figure out firstly by what you meant an icebox was ;) The freezer to us :)
ReplyDeletepetrol dockets; photos; school notices. Just found your lovely blog.

We have some favorite family photographs and some quotes and scriptures on ours. I really like your simple dream magnet.
ReplyDeleteI'm a plain fridge kinda girl. I don't go for all of the clutter; drives me nuts.
ReplyDeleteWe put pictures and Box Top fill in sheets on ours. We have cool magnets too.
ReplyDeleteMy old 1960's era fridge had my magnet collection on it and some "artwork" But then it died and we had to replace it, not quite with my dream fridge, the space was too small, but we leave the front uncluttered. The side by the door has ABC magnets and the other side has some magnets with cooking conversions and my shopping list. The top has dog medication and cat treats.
ReplyDeleteI'm really bummed about my 1960's fridge, btw.
I am a blank frig person....no decoration for me...too busy I think.....but I like your one piece of inspiration !
ReplyDeletefront of mine isn't magnetic either, but on the side I have a collection of art magnets that i've gotten from trips to museums.... and across the backsplash to the stove are those magnetic photo holders of the grands lined up!
ReplyDeleteI have all kinds of art work from my kids...also the work schedule for Base Camp Cafe, magnets with pizza, doctor, plumber info. We have a cabinet on top of ours- happy it hides all the pans.
ReplyDeleteI have all kinds of magnets from place I have been or lived in the world, magnets made by the girls when they were young and several art pieces.
ReplyDeleteOnly the sides are magnetic so the front is very clean!! On the side that no one sees but me I have a photo of the kids and me when they were little :) plus magnetic ads for pizza places that I order from :)
ReplyDeleteThe pottery on top of your fridge is beautiful! On top of my fridge we store some pans. :)
ReplyDeleteOur refrigerator is covered. I have artwork from when Nicole was little, poems she wrote, old pictures of my grandparents, my godchildren, a calendar, reminders... And lots of magnets!!
ReplyDeleteI have a few items on top, some magnets -- memories from home -- and a shopping pad.
ReplyDeleteMine used to be covered in things but I felt like it just gets too cluttered and makes the kitchen more cluttered looking than it already is. I love all the things on top of yours though. Ours is so high, I can't seem to get anything up there.
ReplyDeleteI try not to clutter it because it seems then things always fall off when I open the door. I have a few things on there that I have to hang in a pinch. Like a drawing that says "you are the best mom ever." And a few other essentials.
