A FEBRUARY WEEKEND

Like the sky opens after a rainy day we
must open to ourselves.... Learn to love
yourself for who you are and open so the
world can see you shine.

~James Poland

This was a weekend of waking
early on a cold Saturday morning,
driving for hours to have lunch with
my daughter, son -in- love, and
Emerson, my favorite five year old.
Seeing her little smiling face, listening
to her read me a book, holding her .
tight before I left made my whole day.
I stopped at Whole Foods before going
home to restock my favorite cereal
{I buy in bulk} and finding the price has
gone up...a lot. Now I am on a mission
to come up with my own recipe.

Sunday has been a day of knitting and
reading. Taking a long walk and having
to take my jacket off because it was so
warm. Tomorrow it is suppose to be in
the 80's! This has been the strangest
winter.

Thank you for all the well wishes on
Thursday's post.  I am now well
rested and that sense of peace that
I usually carry with me has returned
making me feel more like myself. I
am looking forward to a beautiful week
and I hope the same for you. Can
you believe it's already February?!

  5. I know you will find the recipe! Glad that you feel more like yourself, I'm sure having water helps. Love the contrasting photos, the weather has been nutty here!

  6. Good that you were able to catch up. I hope you share the recipe once made. We've had a weirdly warm then cold winter with thunderstorms and showers too. But eighty degrees, that's like summer over here. I actually managed to do some reading and knitting too. It was so good. Glad you are getting back to normal. Take care.

  7. I still can't believe that it's February. Of course it was a wonderful weekend if you got some snuggles from Emerson :-)
It's amazing how the price of things is going up. Hope you find a recipe real quick!

  8. What a fun way to start a new month (with your granddaughter!) Wishing you a happy week and success on the recipe. We try to make our own scratch versions of the grocery items we use most -- so much cheaper and healthier that way. Blessings, ~Lisa :)
