MY SOUL BLOSSOMS

Let us be grateful to people who make
us happy, they are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom.

~Marcel Proust

This has been a week of...

Being humbled by all the
thoughtful comments on
the sweater I knit for my
Pappaw. Thank you. You
make my soul blossom and
I am so grateful to have you
in my life.

I baked snickerdoodles for
Alex as a thank you for modeling
the sweater for me.  I have
learned over the years that
teenage boys always appreciate
any food, they have endless
stomachs I tell you! ;)

I discovered Avocado Mayo
the other day; I am not
sure if this is a good thing
or not, I want to eat it on
everything.

Did you hear about the swap
Amanda is hosting? Thank
you Karen for the heads up, it
gives me something to look forward
to now that the holiday's are past.

Have you seen the new cable needles
Karen has in her shop? I know what
I'm gifting myself for Valentines
Day.

I found a new sweater that I would
love to knit, but first I am back to
knitting A Blanket since I want to
finish before the heat of summer
returns. I feel bad that it got pushed
aside for other knits, but now it
has all my knitting attention.

Do you have exciting plans for the
weekend? I plan on just letting the
days unfold and going with the flow.
No matter what you have going on,
I hope you are warm, safe and happy.
Peace to you.

Love,
Tracey
XO

  7. Your photographs are truly beautiful and the avocado mayo sounds delicious...I just had a rice salad with avocado with baby cherry tomatoes for lunch...mmm...That sweater looks good and the needles gorgeous colour. I have a few patterns in the queue too, but like you want to finish off another
    project first.
We're going to London tonight, I haven't been for ages so am quite excited. I'm meeting my sister-in-law tonight and my sister tomorrow whose just moved there. It will be lovely to catch up with them.
I hope you have a lovely one too.

  8. I am really looking forward to the swap too. Tonight we are going to see a show at the casino and have some dinner. The rest of the weekend is reserved for my to-do list, which of course includes lots of knitting! Enjoy your weekend.

  10. My plans for the weekend are to make my family spoil me in every way possible. I forsee a lot of coffee. (:
(This makes sense if you know that my birthday is Monday)

Baking for boys always makes them happy. The Beast has requested that in exchange for hugs on Monday that I bake a chocolate brownie cake (which he calls coffee brownie cake in the cutest three year old voice).

    Happy Friday, Tracey!

  15. Gorgeous photos! They remind me of Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. Avocado mayo sounds yummy! And, ohhhhh I *LOVE* that sweater pattern you have your eye on. I'm going to have to add that one to my list of possible future knits.
