JULY IN THE SOUTH

“It is better to play
 than do nothing."..

~Confucius

...but we're playing inside
since triple digit temperatures
make me melt.
How are you playing in
the heat?

  1. Oh you poor dears! Would someone tell Mother Nature to take it down a notch or two?!? Thinking of you and sending cool breezes your way!

  2. I remember that not so long ago we were where you are now. Thinking of you while we huddle next to the fire.I've got to tell you that I'm not looking forward to summer if it is anything like it was last time!

  4. Oh Tracey! Paper mache projects are so fun! My mom let us make the biggest messiest things when I was growing up and now I get to recreate that with my own kids! I love saying "just make whatever!" and seeing what we all come up with! I love the composition in that last photo - especially where her eyes are just above the bowl - great job! :)

We've been at the pool - a lot!!! Its hard to get to the beach with the baby but we go in the evening when the timing is just so. My kids know I won't step outside in the florida summer heat unless water is involved! lol!

  6. Looks like the perfect activity for staying inside trying to keep cool! I am not worried about the heat, I am huddled up in my winter housecoat hugging a mug of hot coffee!

  11. Oh, it's awful, isn't it? We've been hiding out inside, too. As my mom says, this weather is fit for neither man nor beast.
