YARN ALONG
~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Linking with Ginny.
I am still working on my
pot holder, but I am also
trying very hard to finish
this cardi that I started
in March. It has been sitting
in my knitting basket incomplete
and I am a person who really
dislikes not finishing something.
I'm still not digging the yarn, but
I am going to finish this cardi
before I begin anything else.
[pinky swear].
I have been reading
Unbroken on the kindle
and although it isn't my usual
reading material I am learning
quite a bit about Louie Zamperini
and more than I ever wanted
to know about B-24's. I am
trying very hard to keep
ahead of a thirteen year old
that reads more than his sister
and brother's ever did [and that
is saying something for this
homeschooling family].xx
PS: Have you seen this?
I think we all should have one!
xx

Ooh that green is so lovely. Can't wait to see the completed project. I just finished "The Ceareal Muders" by Diane Mott Davidson - which was a fun little read. And now I'm looking for something new... think I'll follow your link for some suggestions :)
ReplyDeletewhoa- that clock is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteThat green is fantastic and that clock is CRAZY Tracey! LOL! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteA clock that knits?! Sign me up!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome - I NEED that clock!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely yarn. Is it hemp? Looks just like some that I made St. Patricks Day potholders out of. that clock would be a time suck...just sitting and watching. I would love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color! Hooray for voracious teenage readers. Obviously they all had a wonderful model to follow. I had an insatiable appetite for reading too as a kid. My kids aren't old enough yet for me to tell if they will be one of those, but secretly I keep my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeletemy hubby read and loved that book. good luck finishing the cardi - i'm with you, i can't stand not finishing something!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That clock is hysterical! I need one! That color green is lovely, sorry you're not liking the yarn, I know what a bummer it is to dislike yarn you are knitting with.
ReplyDeleteYour cardi looks lovely! I love that green!
ReplyDelete...and yes I think the clock is wonderful!...
What a lovely color, and hooray for you for finishing it! Looking forward to seeing the end result.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is a crazy clock! I think it's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteNow if only it would do cardigans you'd be happy?
Blessings, Debbie
Your cardi looks so cosy! It makes me want to pull out the needles right this minute and knit on something luxe!
ReplyDeleteThe cardigan is going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Tonya
Even though you don't dig the yarn, the cardi is gorgeous already! Wow you rock!
ReplyDeleteDespite your struggles with the yarn your cardigan looks great! I still love that beautiful colour!
ReplyDeleteThat clock is pretty incredible!
I am with you in solidarity on finishing a cardigan! I would race you but it would stress me out ;) Seriously, your knitting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou can finish! It took me a little over a year to finish my cardigan, and it just took me feeling sick of staring at it in its bag that motivated me! And that clock is amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove the clock.
ReplyDeleteI have three pair of cuff-down socks and one pair of toe-up sock on needles and am working actively on all four pair.
However, I am casting on another cuff-down pair right now.
hugs
Love it that you're pre-reading books for your kiddos! Been wondering about doing that myself - that is, if we're fortunate enough to have a reader...so far it's not looking promising :-(
