I believe in the ocean curing all bad moods.
I believe in the waves wiping away worries.
I believe in seashells bringing good luck.
I believe in toes in the sand grounding my soul.

Lots of sock knitting in my world
these days, some with chevron's
some with stripes, the perfect
summer knit, especially when
you're sitting on the beach wave
watching and soaking in a few
sun rays.
I down loaded The Border of Paradise
after seeing it on several blogs. It is
a story told from several character's
view all of which are haunting, dark,
and totally masterful!
Joining Ginny
that book was good (and crazy!). I love the first pair of socks - what is the pattern? it looks familiar!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is The Chevron Sock from the book, The Sock Knitter's Workshop.
DeleteIt's a 14 round repeat, very simple, but not boring.
Yes to that quote Tracey :) Loving all the sock knitting.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so dreamy and peaceful! What a beautiful place! I love how your projects match your surroundings!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post. I adore beaches -- so of course I live in a sea of Midwestern farmland. Thus, your pictures are much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed how well your projects matches the setting!
I can't wait to do some beach knitting. It's almost warm enough here! We seem to be knitting the same things these days - socks. I will have to check out that book.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to get a bag like yours! Perfect! And those blues are so pretty :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely, Tracey! Your socks are beautiful. I especially love the chevron ones.
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to be able to knit at the beach! I think your socks are beautiful! I, too, love your bag....would love to get one....where? Blessings from Kansas! Gail
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail, you are so kind. My bag was a gift from my daughter, I think she picked it up at one our downtown shops.
DeleteIt's made by SeaLife
DeleteThank you!
DeleteYour bag is so cute! This happy, sweet blue of the textured sock represents you. Glad you can get away for some sea air and soothing waves.
ReplyDeleteYour socks are pretty and your avian visitor is cute. Enjoy your knitting, ocean watching and reading.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! I want to knit socks in the beach also but I'm too shy for it! Will give it a try thus year. After all, who cares what people are saying?!
ReplyDeleteLooks Like a great day!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the blue socks...they match your sky...
