IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS

Little things
mean a lot!

Hello!

I hope your Christmas holiday was
as pleasant as the one I celebrated.

Over the last week there has been
a lot of gift making and giving,
lots of baking, and eating,
talking and laughing with family
and friends because they make it
all worth while.

Slow mornings and long nights
as insomnia seems to have settled
in.

Lunch out with my best friend,
a trip to the yarn store,
the casting off of projects
and the planning for new
ones.

Humid, foggy days and having
to turn the a/c on [yuck].

Walking around and noticing
all the plants in bloom and the
honey bees flying everywhere.

Making a trip to Lowes the day
after Christmas because my ice
box finally quit; on a good note
the new one matches my new
stove.

Most often I become a little depressed
after the holiday's, but this year I
am trying so very hard to make plans
so this doesn't happen, activities that
will keep me busy and focused as the
new year begins to unfold. I have much
to share over the next few weeks and
just thinking about it makes me smile.

Much love to all of you my dear friends,
Tracey
XO

  1. Oh my sweet friend, you look beautiful :-) the end of the year is a bit hard for me. This year , especially, since I had to say good bye to my loving friend, my dog of 17 years. But I want this year to end with no sad notes, so I am back on IG and seeing the beauty that everyone shares in moments. Be well dear lady and God bless!

  2. Tracey, that spider web photo is awesome! Those berries on the cedar (?) are pretty too. Don't be blue - you have so much natural beauty in your world and you create so much lovely handcrafted beauty too!

  3. Isn't it crazy with appliances. One goes, and and they all go. So glad you had a great Christmas. Ours was busy and wonderful...so cool seeing through Miss C's eyes.

  4. Tracey, you are beautiful!! Love the selfie! :-) It has been way to warm in our area, too. Not enough to turn on the ac, but in the mid 70's. And it's been very, very wet. We had some bad flooding in our area, thankfully we're ok, but it's been pretty bad in northern AL. Hope you will have a good week, enjoy the last week of 2015!

  6. You look fantastic in white. You're probably coming down from the frenzy of Christmas. Do things you love and that make you feel good.

  7. wow a stove and an icebox. What is going on in your kitchen? You look lovely my friend. I fear I'll be sad when my son leaves to go back to his home, then my house will be empty.

  8. Glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas. Those cinnamon rolls looks delicious! So good that you are making plans to pick up the slack after the Christmas let down. That is important ~ something I need to work on as well. You and yours have a wonderful New Year!

  10. I cleaned like a machine before my christmas guests arrived...I'm good for another year (LOL) Sorry to hear you are feeling low - i read somewhere that in order to survive after Christmas blues one could try to pursue multiple mini-goals. It looks like you have read the same article because you are already on the right track !!! xoxo
