I MADE A WISH FOR YOU

"My wish for you is that you continue.
Continue to be who and how you are,
to astonish a mean world with your acts
of kindness. Continue to allow humor
to lighten the burden of your tender heart."

-~Maya Angelou

I found a dandelion today,
a perfectly shaped dandelion
with one wish clinging to the
side and I made a wish and
blew it into the world.
Do you believe in the magic
of dandelions too?

Our temperatures have been all
over the place, beginning with
only 47 degrees for a high and
then ending today with 73 degrees.
I've heard it's crazy everywhere.
And yes, I'm still waiting on snow.

This weekend I attended the birthday
celebration of my newest daughter in
love who turned 24. I made her boot
toppers and gave her a hug. I love her
to pieces. Did I tell you she is studying
to be nurse? I am very proud of her.

I spend a long, long time today working
on a new fiber skill which I'll share
more about this week.  I'm hoping I
really love it, but not so much that
it takes away too much time from knitting.

I finished reading The Nightingale, I tried
to make it last as long as I could. I loved
it from beginning to end. You should read
it, seriously, read it.  Now I am beginning
How to Catch a Frog which I've heard is
good too.

I had my photo taken.  Ahem. It's not easy
getting older when inside you still feel seventeen!

  1. You look great! Temps all over the place here too! Nothing consistent. All I want it to be is swimming weather on the weekend when I am not at work then I 'm happy.

  4. We enjoyed a mild weekend with sunshine and highs in the upper 50s -- it's crazy how different the weather has been across the states! I'm beginning to worry we will won't get the precipitation we need for spring melt off in the mountains. Sigh. There is still time.
Tracey, you are such a lovely lady. :) I can't remember the last time I felt 17 inside, but even so, this aging thing catches up with me every time I look in the mirror...who is that 51 year old woman staring back at me?

  9. You are gorgeous Tracey!! Some days I feel 17 inside and some days 85. ;-) It's all good though, I enjoy this stage in my life very, very much. We've had snow, ice covered roads, sleet and rain these last few days and I am over it. Bring on the sunshine!

  12. You look beautiful! So wonderful to see your face. So often we are the ones behind the lens. I keep reminding myself to let my husband take the camera because if not, I'll have no pictures of me and my kids.

Dandelions are one of my favorite flowers and their magic is almost a religion here : From the medicinal properties, to being the first flowers to feed our bees and pollinators in spring to carrying newborn fairies to the woods, they truly are a wonder! xo

  19. You look fabulous! I sometimes marvel at the fact that I'm 46 and no one believes me. Although I don't get carded anymore and that bums me out.
