70 DEGREES

"Light as a feather - that's what I want my
soul to be. Blown in the wind, and no one
could catch it"

-Joyce Carol Oates

It is hard to believe that the
calendar says it's February
when the thermometer reads
70 degrees.  Regardless of
a cold, with spring like temperatures
it's just too hard to stay inside.
My guys and I hiked for miles
enjoying this beautiful planet
and our little spot on it.  I was
thrilled to spy a fairy home, a
deer antler shed, lots of wildlife
and numerous feathers.
We came home and all took
a much needed nap, our souls
light and carefree.

Now I am hand winding yarn,
I have some baby knitting to do.

  6. lovely lovely!! I adore your landscape so different to mine. We are having rain that will turn to snow, I'm not driving anywhere today but staying home and knitting. My nephew and his girlfriend are expecting this summer and I must cast on something soon! I'm leaning towards a blanket but a wee sweater would be lovely as well :)

  15. WOW, did you see all those animals in your area? You have gators?? What are you going to do with the antlers? More buttons? I have some antlers that were given to me and I want to turn them into buttons. Any tips and tricks?

  16. Oh wow, you got gators around? Have they ever come close to home? The armadillo is so cute dithering along there. Do humans scare it easily?

  18. We have had the same crazy weather, and I fear that my mind may not be able to wrap itself around hard winter days, if they ever choose to appear. Such a beautiful space you live in, and I always enjoy seeing glimpses of it.

  22. Oh my goodness!!! Such amazing photos!! I can't imagine seeing an armadillo in the wild let alone alligators/crocodiles!! You're so blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the country. We live in New York. We're covered in snow and freezing cold weather right now. I love to look at photos of people in warmer states and dream. : )
