YARN ALONG

Hark! the hours are softly calling
Bidding Spring arise
To listen to the rain-drops falling
From the cloudy skies
To listen to Earth's weary voices
Louder every day
Bidding her no longer linger
On her charm'd way
But hasten to her task of beauty
Scarcely yet begun.
~Adelaide Anne Procter

As soon as I cast off my last
pair of socks I grabbed some
more yarn and cast on a new
pair.  I am playing around
with the pattern trying to
find just the right one for
me, what feels best on my
feet, what is fun to knit,
what little details I want
to add to give each pair of
socks their own personality.
I have spent a lot of hours
looking at different patterns,
but it's fun and isn't that what
knitting is all about? :)

I know I'm probably the last one
to read it, but I have started
The Snow Child and for all those
that told me I would love it you
are right, I do!  I first heard about
the book from Lori and then Cory
and I had a book exchange with
her sending me this book, thank
you Cory.   Have you read it?

Joining with Ginny because it's
Wednesday and that means it
Yarn Along Day!

    1. They are blueberry blossoms. It should be a good crop this year, we've had a lot of rain.

  14. Nope - you are not the last one to read Snow Child. It hasn't even gotten on my list yet. I guess I would actually have to read, huh? I'm so glad you are enjoying knitting socks.

  16. Well, you're not the last one--I haven't read it yet, although it is on my list. Socks are my favorite thing to knit. The basic construction is just so nifty, and the finished product so useful. Plus, socks are such a portable knit. I love your springtime photos--so pretty. I am just beginning to detect the first signs of spring, but there is still snow on the ground.
