Knitting is a boon for
those of us who are
easily bored. I take
my knitting everywhere
to take the edge off of
moments that would
otherwise drive me stark
raving mad.

A quick and easy knit
that was perfect to do
while watching the
London Olympics.
Reading another great
book from Stephanie
Pearl-McPhee because
she makes me laugh out
loud.

The hat looks awesome! I love the white. And I have been wanting to make one of those slouchy hats.
ReplyDeleteI'm on a yarn-diet right now - trying to use at least half of the yarn I have before I buy more BUT now I really need to buy some white and knit hat just like this! love it ! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat hat! Don't you love it when you have a handy head willing to model it? I hope you are keeping busy while your little one is moving.
ReplyDeleteFab hat! I love the Yarn Harlot books - they're so funny but I have to space out my purchases because I devour them too quickly!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat!! I must read some yarn harlot, I love her blog, so I'm sure I would love her books!
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks great. Nothing like a good giggle while reading. Jacinta
ReplyDeleteWonderful hat and model (although he doesn't look tremendously excited to model mom's hat). My husband always knows when I laugh out loud that I am probably reading the YH's blog or one of her books.
ReplyDeleteI love the hat! It came out great. I hope you are doing ok without the wee one. Sending you big hugs this week!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful hat! I too have a slouchy hat on my To Knit list.
ReplyDeleteLaughing out loud is a gift, isn't it?
Nice hat! I love Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, her books are some of my favorites!
ReplyDeletegreat knit--super model!!! (I love Stephanie's books, too!!! You just know all us knitters really do the same crazy things---over and over and over!!!!!)
ReplyDeleteOh, Tracey. The straight-on picture of your lovely boy in the hat? The statue behind him makes it look like the hat has big cat/anime ears. And now I feel absolutely compelled to knit such a hat. Inspiration from all places, yes? (:
ReplyDeleteWhen I laugh out loud at a book, my husband assumes that I'm ready the Pink Carnation series (though he calls it the pink flamingo).
