once it casts its spell,
holds one in its net of
wonder forever.”
--Jacques Cousteau
breathing in the salt air as the
waves renewed my soul.
Watching a lone shrimp boat
wait her turn under the draw bridge
and hoping the shrimpers have
a great season as the last few
years have been hard on them.
An unexpected sleepover with
my favorite four year old!!!
Hearing all about her new school
and the friends she is making.
Collecting all the hugs I can
and holding them tight inside
my heart.
The studio has been cleaned so
today will be paints and pencils
as I need to fill the long hours,
but thankful for each and every
one of them.
I hope your weekend is going
well and it has been filled with
unexpected happy surprises!

Kaya asked to paint today, so I dropped my crumble preparations and joined him - but having a couple of hours to myself... Now I think of all those things I could have done when I had the time last week!
ReplyDeleteThat quote is so true. I loved crossing bridges like that as a child, and even now it takes me back... on the times we rarely cross a bridge like that one. And yay for surprise sleepovers! Beautiful beach photos as always.
