    Are these really seagulls? They don't look like any seagulls we have around here... in fact, they look like flying penguins. :) Now I have to Google southeast seagulls!

      Yes, they are really seagulls. They are Bonaparte's seagulls and just one of the species we have here. :)

    I was going to ask the same thing as no spring chicken! They don't look like our seagulls up here in New England! Yours are pretty. Ours....not so much! What a great capture! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    i'm ready for my beach fix.....can't wait. lovely pictures. can you believe that we have seagulls in KY??? I used to think they were just lost----but they actually live here. go figure. (not your bonaparte ones---the common grays!)

      Wonderful photo. We go to the beach for vacation every summer and I always like to take photos of the seagulls. There usually seems to be one particular one each year that likes to mug for the camera. They're a dime a dozen but lots of fun to photograph!! : )

    There is one thing we don't have in common....I don't live near a beach :( ..... so I will have to enjoy your beautiful photos! Capturing birds in flight is no easy task....great shot! Have a nice weekend!
