Just living is not enough...
one must have sunshine,
freedom, and a
little flower.
~Hans Christian Andersen
It's been a beautiful weekend
filled with a quiet Saturday
playing on Ravelry and
just browsing all the
many patterns and still
not coming up with the
'one' pattern I know is
waiting for me. Cooking
while watching Chopped,
glad that I am not
having to worry about
a clock while I work.
Easter Sunday has been
all of us together [except
one who graduates from
boot camp this Thursday],
making this momma's heart
swell with pride and love.
No matter what this world
throws at me, I am truly
blessed.
I hope your weekend has
been filled with sunshine
and love too.
Joining up with the sweet
Amanda.
it's tomorrow already, here Tracey and I am still up, sitting while John finishes some work. Hope you have a lovely evening and a great week ahead. Glad your day was so blessed. xx

I love that poem; it's a great one. Sounds like a great weekend; so glad your family could be all together (minus the accomplished graduate!)
ReplyDeleteSeems a nearly perfect weekend, Tracey.
ReplyDeleteThoughts for your boot-camp grad!

ReplyDeleteYea! You had (almost) everyone back in your nest for the holiday weekend. Swelling heart is right. I really wish I could reach out and touch that flower. Great photograph.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you. Have spent the day cleaning up after a big Easter lunch and egg hunt in the garden. It was madness and the kids were all on a high with all the chocolate. We wouldn't have it any other way!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that almost everyone was gathered for Easter!
ReplyDeleteChase and I love Chopped. We're Food Network Foodies. ;)
We had a wonderful Easter weekend as well. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that with Ravelry! I can spend hours there it seems like and still not have a pattern when I'm done. Sending many thoughts to your boot camp grad this week. How exciting!
ReplyDeleteThis photo is great, it almost makes me want to stare at it in case I might be able to see the buds turn to flowers :)
ReplyDeleteLove having a house full of family. It just feels right.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations proud mama. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
Everyone (almost) home! Lovely!!! And congrats to the boot camp grad...are you going to be able to be there for the graduation???
ReplyDeleteOur Easter was wonderful until 'Jay-Bob' decided to have a meltdown at dinner; I'm still not sure what prompted it, although it may have had something to do with ham (although that is one of his favorite things). So much for that Norman Rockwell moment!!! We'll try again today! (My usual criteria is....no blood drawn, it's been a good day!) So it's been a good day!
Congrats on your graduate! So many changes in life. I am happy that you were able to be with your family during this wonderful Easter weekend :)
ReplyDeleteChopped is one of Steve and my guilty pleasures too. I claim that I had the idea for that show first, though. :) Every year that I moved in college there was that last week when I was trying to clean out the 'fridge and didn't buy any groceries. By the last day the game was to try to make a meal out of whatever I had left - usually something along the lines of a Trisket and ranch dressing.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a beautiful Easter!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing boot camp!
Happy Monday.
It sounds like you had a beautiful weekend and a lovely Easter.
ReplyDeleteI love Chopped as well!
Wishing you a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteYes, we are blessed! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Hope you have many many more, Tracey.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely weekend, Tracey. Congrats to your grad, I can feel your pride from here!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how they cook under such pressure. And time pressure pretty much confirms a bad meal when I'm making it! Congrats to your grad!
ReplyDeletesounds like a very fun weekend indeed. I haven't seen Chop but gather it is a race-cooking show??? How crazy. Congrats to your new grad Tracey!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful Easter weekend with the (almost complete) family.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
