is one whose clothes
wouldn't look too strange
in the country.
~Hardy Amies
Well, it's done...
I finally finished my
Abigail Cardi!
I love it and only wish it
were a lot cooler so I could
wear it everyday, but this
is the deep south so
it will be a little while
until I can fully enjoy it.
I am thankful I don't need a
coat here so when winter does
come I have plans to wear
it daily! Well, that and the
next one I plan to knit in
a different color.
I just cast on a cowl
designed by my dear friend
Karen from Pumpkin Sunrise.
Isn't she just amazing?
I am using Patons Angora-Bamboo
yarn in Soft White which
I love as it is so soft and
will feel great when worn
against the neck.
I picked up a little book
while browsing Tuesday Morning,
Simple Knits with a Twist.
I wanted it because I would
love to knit the ballet shoes
on the cover. The slippers are
knit with ribbon and I thought
they would be fun. I only paid
a few dollars for the book
and really that's all it's worth.
I would not pay what I just
saw on Amazon. If anyone would
like to see the book I would
be happy to share, just let
me know.
What have you been up to
this week?
xx

ReplyDeleteAs far as the book goes, that is the main reason why I've been checking out knitting books from my library. I see if they're worth buying.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Tracey, you are stunning - and so lovely in your new cardigan! Great job! xoR
ReplyDeleteTracey, I'd keep that gorgeous sweater in the car for the summer. I hate restaurant air conditioning here in Florida! In fact, I'll sit outside 99% of the time to avoid it. But if I had such a stunning sweater, I could be enticed into the arctic zone...
ReplyDeleteHi Tracey...first visit here..love your pics and the cardigan looks lovely...so does the book! I'll be back!
ReplyDeleteLovely! That garden behind you is amazing! What are you growing?
ReplyDeleteoh. my. goodness. can i come visit? your place looks beyond wonderful. beautiful knits and garden!
ReplyDeleteThe cardi looks SO good on you, Tracey!!! Thank you for sharing those pics, it is wonderful to see you. I am jealous and want to knit one, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous!!! A beautiful cardi for a beautiful woman. And LOOK at all of that green that you're surrounded by! I envy you your ability to go without a coat. That's hard for me to imagine. And that opening quote got me chuckling. Boy, did I ever feel silly when I arrived at the farm from the city, looking *exactly* as though I arrived from the city. Clearly, I was not a best-dressed woman.
ReplyDeleteThe cardigan is fabulous and so are you.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Oh, I love your sweater. And your photographs - I want to jump into them, they're so lovely and spring-y. And I need to take a look at that book. Because, you know, I can never have too many projects going at once, and I need more inspiration... xo
