weekending, my favorite part of the week. a time to relax, live, love, just to be. if you'd like to share your weekend either with words, photographs, or both, leave a link to a weekend post in the comments. Joining with Amanda for her weekending post.
there has been some much needed
quiet time for me to just piddle
around doing little jobs that probably
only I notice, cleaning out a
junk drawer, reorganizing
the kitchen office, finally weeding
the herb bed. Then I sat in
the sun [with the temperature
being 72 degrees] and knit the
afternoon away. I enjoyed a
huge [serving bowl size] salad
eaten by candle light, reading
The Knitter's Life List, this is
a book I know I will continue
to enjoy for many years to come.
Went to bed way too late and
then slept past sunrise, something
I rarely do.
Sunday has been quiet meditation,
a long walk and now I have
plans with a movie and
a bowl of popcorn. My family
will return this evening so
I am going to enjoy the
quiet a little longer before I
soak in lots of missed
family time.
I hope you are having a
wonderful weekend.
That sounds like an awesome weekend. I also sat in the sun and knit yesterday; it was lovely, so lovely that I feel asleep. :-)

Perfect, Tracey - nice to get just a little time to yourself. It sounds as if you are nicely recharged.. I think we should swap weather for a couple of days though:). xxx

ReplyDeleteI love popcorn too! It is so much quieter now that I have one out of two children home...

Sometimes a little quiet can do so much for restoring my balance. So glad you enjoyed yours.
ReplyDeletequiet weekends are so restorative! and sabrina...love that movie!
ReplyDeleteI just have this feeling you and I would get along just fine.
ReplyDeleteI treasure my alone time too. Alone from family I don't need much, it's alone time from the rest of the world that I need sometimes.

What a great weekend alone! Those little things matter so much (even if no one notices). I've been day dreaming of a girls crafty weekend myself lately.
