{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. xx
Rakes will be coming out around here soon too, I'd imagine! Lots of stuff is still green, but we are looking forward to the day that we wake up and the trees have burst into their autumn splendor! :)
Our moment comes from a trip to the Boston Children's Museum a couple of weeks ago. It would have been our moment last week but our computer was on the fritz and I didn't want to miss the chance to post this picture! http://ouronesweetfamily.blogspot.com/2011/09/this-moment_23.html
This reminds me too that we need to buy some new rakes (2 of ours broke last fall) I'm assuming this is your granddaughter - getting in as many photographs and visits as you can before their move?
i always love your photos! this one is darling! i so appreciated your words on raising boys and shared it with a bunch of girlfriends at lacrosse practice yesterday. “my friend in south carolina said......” the part about meaningful physical labor really resonated with everyone. it’s one of the reasons that we heat with firewood....it’s such a herculean task with very clear and imperitive results.
reminds me of being a kid! When my brother and I would be on the couch playing video games my dad would pop in and say, "it's autumn! Go rake something!" Love it! my moment: http://www.himherandtheirs.com/2011/09/this-moment_23.html
