say it, but most importantly show it. Life is finite and
fragile, and just because something is there one day,
it might not be the next. Never take that for granted.
Say what you need to say, then say a little more.
Say too much. Show too much. Love too much.
Everything is temporary but Love. Love outlives
us all.
It's been a lovely one here.
Alex, my only still living at
home, spend the weekend with
one of his brother's so it's just
been my Mike and I. We woke
early Saturday and after a nice
breakfast headed to town for
a little antiquing. I was thrilled
to find a cast iron cornbread pan
and two Robert Furber prints,
[something I collect and love].
We had a nice dinner, him a steak,
me a huge salad, and then ice
cream for dessert, butter pecan
is the best!
Sunday we awoke to cold and rain
so I made a huge batch of ginger-
turmeric tea and then began working
on a few jars of Chemo Moonshine,
along with a pair of socks and several
other items for a gift bag to a dear friend.
My friend has cancer and while she is
almost done with this round of treatments,
we will know more soon, she is tired,
I see the fight that she has displayed slipping
away and I hope these things I have been
making with love can bring just a bit of
comfort to someone who is so much
stronger than I could ever be. She has
asked for prayers and I am asking too, please.
