A
plant is not thinking: Tomorrow I will put a new
leaf to the north and then next week when it rains
I will grow a meter taller. Its existence is just unfolding
out of itself spontaneously, naturally, unplanned.
Similarly, your true life unfolds in the same way
but you are unaware of it because you allow your
mind to imagine fanciful ways of being and then
pursue your projections. Like this, you began
thinking and strategising your existence rather
than simply experiencing your natural being.
We cannot breathe tomorrows, breath today.
Therefore, knowing this, leave your existence
to existence and start enjoying your cosmic
play. Best of all, don’t try to be anything at
all. This is a secret few recognize.

It has been such a peacefilled
weekend. The temperatures
dropped as predicted, but not
so much that any of the plants
were damaged. I discovered my
Spanish lavender is in bloom and
the mint is once again trying to
take over. I have been snacking on
sliced apples with almond butter
and I think I finally found my groove
with making Bulletproof coffee {and
I'm liking it ;)]. I finished reading
although I wish I hadn't , harming
animals and then children...not for me.
I finished knitting a little hat and
my gift for the spring swap {more
soon] and am now working on sofa
arm covers for a friend. Tomorrow
our spring bring begins! Life is
good.

I could almost smell the Spanish lavender :0) lovely.... I see green here a bit - can't wait :0) mari
ReplyDeleteOh that little hat is so sweet! Glad you mentioned the book, I have it on my list, but think I might move it to the bottom for now :( Gosh that mint looks lovely, I can't wait to see green in my garden.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely week Tracey, enjoy your spring break. xo
such a lovely sounding weekend. <3 have a most wonderful week
ReplyDeleteThe hay is cute with its elongated tassel. I have yet to try almond butter. Does it have a prominent taste like peanut butter?
ReplyDeleteI too go through copious amounts of almond butter but with semi ripe bananas...so yummy!!! I love your cap...there is so much happiness in that shade of yellow. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love lavender and have several plants in our flower beds! It is not really growing or blooming yet, but I'm looking forward to that wonderful smell! The hat is the cutest little thing and I hope you'll share pictures of it (and the socks) being modeled. Have a great week!
ReplyDeletelooks like spring is there in full force! I will be avoiding that book, I don't like that kind of stuff. Love apples with nut butters :)
ReplyDeletehope your gentle weekend progresses throughout the week!!! (what a cute little hat!!!!) (I think we got the same cold snap....although I lived the weekend with all the giant porch ferns adorning my living room!!!! They are happily outside this morning. phew.)
ReplyDeleteI love you quote and that sweet little hat!!
ReplyDeleteApples and almond butter are the snack of choice around here for both Emory and I. Yum!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful weekend! I don't think I'll be reading that book anytime soon. So you are liking your Bulletproof, huh?
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of trying bullet proof coffee…so tempted. And everything in your world looks lovely & lush—enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend not only sounds peaceful, but looks peaceful too.
ReplyDeleteDespite mint's tendency to run rampant I am anxiously awaiting it's return.
Bulletproof coffee is new to me. I'll have to read up on it as it looks rather tasty.
My mom always reminds me to "breathe" so I love the post's title. The pictures of the flower's are beautiful. I love the smell & the beauty of lavender and it reminds me of summer days. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad nothing got frosted. That is always a worry here. Sliced apples and peanut butter is always one of my favorite snacks.
ReplyDeleteI really need to just stop and breathe right now! So your post is very timely!
ReplyDeleteI too cannot handle child or animal cruelty in books!!
Love that little hat - too sweet....

As always, your choice in quotes gives me much to think about, I really like this one and think its a good one to remember (daily in my case). Well, over the winter you might have experienced just a wee bit of snow envy but I must confess now to having a major case of flower envy! Up here we are in the ugliest of seasons with a mix of ice and puddles and dirty (DIRTY) snow everywhere the eye can see. Your beautiful photos are a real sight for sore eyes, Tracey :) LOVE the little knits, too! I'm glad you are enjoying these good life moments and I'm wishing you many more. xo
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely weekend. I have been drinking bulletproof cofee for a couple of months and love it. I would find it hsrd to drink regular coffee now. Cute hat. carla
ReplyDeleteAdorable little hat! Apples and almond butter? Yum. We just discovered sunflower butter and it's our latest love. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely. And a lovely reminder to "breath today".
ReplyDeleteAll your beautiful pictures breathe the described peace!
ReplyDeleteThe little sunshine hat is just adorable :-)
Gorgeous little hat and such a happy colour :)
