WEEKENDING: A GRATEFUL HEART

weekending, my favorite part of the week. a time to relax, live, love, just to be. if you'd like to share your weekend either with words, photographs, or both, leave a link to a weekend post in the comments.
This weekend was...

Being grateful that my beloved planted the crops
early this season and I have vegetables to put up.
Harvesting corn, shucking, blanching, freezing.
Finally picking the first ripe blueberries. We
are having the strangest growing season that
I can ever remember.
Going to my favorite thrift store and finding
more Pyrex bowls for my kitchen and a brand
new pair of overalls with the tags still attached.
Watching Arsenic and Old Lace for the 100th
time and still loving it! Juicing the whole day
and realizing I have made it over half way
through my cleanse. Taking a two hour
nap and just being content and at peace.

    Arsenic and Old Lace would have to be one my all time most favourite movies. I have fond memories of watching it with my dad when I was very much younger than I am now. Our weekend can sometimes be quite hectic as we offer workshops most weekends but this weekend was a bit of a mixture and my post reflects this.

    Lucky you finding the pyrex! I look every time I am in a thrift store with no luck. I cannot believe you are half way through already, it is going very fast for me :) Happy Monday~karen

    Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favorites too. That and Bringing Up Baby. We are just starting to pick from our garden. Have a happy week!

    That photo is breathtaking! Such a full weekend with so many things to be grateful for. This weekned I'm thankful for radishes, my husband's patience, my son's good humor, and the company of good friends.

    What a lovely weekend! Congrats on getting half way through the cleanse-that has got to take some will power! Enjoy the blueberries! Ours are still a month or so away, and I am so eager for fresh fruit!

    Okay I LOVE the overalls, and I love pyrex bowls too! I've had my eye on some vintage ones :). And I have never seen Arsenic and Old Lace, is that bad? I will put it on my list :). And good for you for making it half way through the cleanse!! That is definitely an accomplishment!
