"What is your hobby? Every woman
ought to have some pet interest in
life, outside of the everyday routine
which composes her regular occupations.
What is yours?"
~The Mother's Magazine, January 1915
This past year I learned a new hobby:
to knit
Before that I use to:
to paint
I received a gift:
an easel
A woman can have
more than one hobby,
right?
What is your hobby? xx
Ooh, good post. My hobby used to be scrapbooking. I have a bunch of supplies but haven't worked on anything in about a month. I need to get motivated.
ReplyDeleteMy newest hobby is collecting books about interior design. I've been studying the evolution of decorating from the 1890's to today. I love looking at the photos of homes decorated in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.

Knitting and crocheting for sure, and doing art collage journaling has been a new learn this year. Unfortunately time is limited to expand in all that I would love to do, including antiquing and learning an instrument :). Enjoy painting, the setting looks so lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteYour easel is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the results. My new hobby is knitting, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteKnitting, sewing, cooking, reading...but painting? I've always wanted to learn to paint...and spinning? Yes, I want to learn to spin. And rug hooking? have you seen the reproduction antique hooked rugs? I want to do that! I sure hope that the adage you can't teach an old dog new tricks is not true because this old gal has much to learn!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot to paint! And what a nice easel!
ReplyDeleteWow...Hobbies... I have too many, and not enough time to enjoy them all.
Sewing, Writing, Baking, and a little dabbling here and there in knitting, crocheting, and painting. At least blogging kind of gives me the motivation to finish projects I've started. I used to have a million unfinished projects laying around, now only about a thousand ;)!
What an awesome easel! My hobbies...first taking pictures and second, knitting.

Love the photos! And the Easel. I've never been able to paint, or draw. But I do love yarny things- knitting, crochet, spinning.
ReplyDeleteNice easel! And it's in such a pretty spot. Can we see some of your paintings?
ReplyDeleteKnitting, reading, and bird watching are my main hobbies.
