deeds of ordinary folk that keeps
the darkness at bay, small acts of
Kindness and Love.

The heat and humidity returned
this weekend making me want
to hide inside for a good part of
the day. The little cold snap we
experienced last week makes me
long for cold days...soon please.
I finally took the plunge and signed
up for Instagram. It's wonderful
to see so many friends already there,
I am traceyclover if you want to
say Hi. I have no idea what I am
doing, #, @ ?, but I am trying.
One thing I find very troubling
is taking photos with this little
phone, I definitely like my camera
better, but I will keep practicing.
The pizza photo is not only my dinner
from Friday night, it is my first
Instagram post.
Saturday's seem to be my hat knitting
day ;) I knit a little hat for Porter; I
added a pompom because wee hats
need pompoms and I wanted something
to go along with the cardigan I made.
For the cardigan I finally found buttons
in my ancient button jar and then I
added two wee pockets to the front
of the cardigan just because. I really
am pleased with how it all turned out.
Just when I was feeling down and a little
sorry for myself I received a phone call
from a long distant friend, we talked for
almost an hour and when I hung up I
felt so much better. It's those small acts
of ordinary kindness, like a phone call,
that you may not think anything about,
that can make a huge difference to
someone else. Thank you my friend.

ReplyDeleteSo excited that your now Instagram...I love it!! So many nice people and I love look at all their knitting : )
ReplyDeleteThat little cardigan and matching hat are adorable, Tracey and the buttons are perfect! Porter is going to be a well dressed boy.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the forecast this morning, we are supposedly in for a cooler week. I hope that is the case for you too.
The little cardigan and hat turned out super cute! Little hats like that definitely need pompoms. :-) Our Saturday was so HOT, we reached almost 90! Fall and cooler weather can bring it on now as far as I'm concerned..
ReplyDeleteYou will be an instagram pro before you know it!! I'm glad you are there and it's fun to see you there!! That sweater and hat is super duper adorable!! Porter will be a handsome young man :) I love having long distance friends :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteThe sweater and hat turned out amazing! I can't wait to see a picture of sweet little Porter wearing it! I love Instagram for the way it can change photos with filters. I don't know a whole lot about it, but it's fun. I'll follow you!
ReplyDeleteI think Instagram is really fun. I don't use it a lot, but it's a nice way to capture interesting moments now and then. If I don't find you first, I'm thistlebear over there. :)
ReplyDeletePorter's cardigan set is splendid ^__^! The red is vivid and embodies the gurgling, the waving baby chubbs, and alert eyes of a baby. Yes, I agree. A wee hat definitely needs a pom pom. I'm sorry you had a blue mood but happy that an old friend called and lifted up your spirits. Your pizza looks hella good, BTW.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you on Instagram. I agree that taking pictures with the phone can be a drag. I bought a Wifi card that way the photos from my DSLR can be transferred to my phone. Check them out on Amazon. I just love that outfit for Porter <3
ReplyDeleteTracey, you are such a skilled knitter. Your kids (and grandkids!) are very lucky.
ReplyDeleteOh Tracey, the sweater for Porter is gorgeous. It is going to look so wonderful on him. Phone calls from friends = the best!! So happy it helped brighten your day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

ReplyDelete~Have a lovely day!
Well, I have yet to sign up at Instagram. I will find myself constantly on the phone :0) but your pictures and your knitting are always so lovely Tracey :0) mari
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you on ig, Tracey! From my own experience, taking photos with your phone does get easier, like everything the more you do it the better you get (at least that's what I'm banking on) : ) Lovely knitting, as always. XO
