"The human spirit needs places where
nature has not been rearranged by the
hand of man."

My dear friends,

I hope your weekend has been
filled with as much joy as mine
has been.

I have knit on socks,
shopped at the market,
picked fresh strawberries,
hiked for miles,
tried to lure alligators in,
watched birds fly,
ate cookies,
looked at rainbows,
talked on the phone
with my mama and
my babies.

Yes, it's been a fabulous

I'm just now catching up on reading your posts for the past couple weeks (I've been off internet for a bit) and love your mint-dye project! Beautiful!
I also have a question for you – do you use a macro lens for your close-up shots? Thinking about purchasing one and wondering which you use and if you like it.
And one more thing – love the quote for today and fully and whole-heartedly agree!

  7. I was thinking about you this weekend and hoping you got to have some nice weather. It looks like you had a lovely time. Happy Mother's Day Tracey!

  8. So many good nature sightings Tracey! Looks like a fun weekend.

  9. Your weekend sounds simply lovely. And your photos! I've said it before and I'll say it again - you have such talent and such an "eye" for what works.....

  10. Tracey, your pictures or gorgeous! You sound so relaxed and peaceful. Blessings!

  11. I love this quote at the top of your post! It is so true. We don't have many spaces like this that we can be surrounded by, living in the suburbs after all. But it is amazing to see the places that the natural world refuses to give in, even when it has been rearranged. Sounds like a lovely weekend. Similar in some ways to ours, although it is still a bit early for strawberries here.

  12. That quote is so true. I'm happy for you that you got a terrific mama's day. Look at you trying to lure in those reptiles. Go on with your bad self!

  13. he is growing and growing!! I love that you had a special weekend, you deserve it!!

  14. I'm so happy to read about your lovely Mother's Day weekend, Tracey. Just look at those gorgeous faces! xo
