SOLO

If you travel solo,
being totally responsible
for yourself, it's
evitable that you
will discover just
how capable you are.

The weather has been gorgeous
here in the south. Weather
that requires hand knit woolies,
fires burning in the wood stove,
hot chai in mugs, vegetable stews
bubbling in cast iron pots, quilts
on the beds. Sadly there wasn't
any snow [yet ],  but still it's been
pretty great.

I was gifted with several boxes of
apples so have spent a few days
making pies and applesauce to
last a few months, eating a lot
with cheese and almonds, and
handing take home bags to
anyone who stopped by for
a visit. Pay it forward!

I've knit a mitten and will cast
on it's friend tonight. I am using
this pattern and must say it is
very well written and easy to
follow.  I can not wait to embroidery
some pretty flowers on them, but
that will have to wait a week because..

...I am packing my bags and taking
a trip. I am going to give my Pappaw
and my Mom a hug!

Wishing you all days filled with beauty.

Love,
Tracey
XO

  2. I couldn't agree more with that quote :) Solo trips have taught me so very much about myself and just how much I am capable of.

  15. Those first "bundle up" days just sing to me... I love summer, but I'm a cozy at heart person. I love a thick sweater and warm socks. :-)
Have a wonderful trip. Take advantage of every moment. Be safe...
