IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS

Friendship isn’t a big thing —
it’s a million little things.

I am so touched by all
the help I have received
from each of you concerning
my dress and shawl knitting,
Thank you. I am knitting
along and have faith that
I will meet my deadline.
If I don't? I received a long
distance phone call from a
dear friend letting me know
she has a shawl that will be
perfect and can get it to me
in time.
 The weather here has turned
cooler making for perfect outdoor
knitting
under cloudless skies.
I even had to wear a
light jacket and socks
this morning!
 Do any of you buy
magazines just for the
ads? I bought the latest
issue of Vogue Knitting
just so I could frame this
page from the ads.
 I have been meaning to
show you the thoughtful
gifts that Maria from
Cats, Crafts and Penguins
sent me as part of the Pay
it Forward I signed up for.
Maria  is so talented, and
so sweet,  she even
sent a gift for Miss Bette,
which is a huge hit.
My mail box has been
busy this week. I received
some beautiful yarn and
stitch markers from a giveaway
I won hosted by the lovely
Andi of My Sister's Knitter
and a God's eye, a hand carved owl,
body butter and healing salve all from
the amazing Kim and her family at

Thank all of you ladies, I love everything
and am so blessed to have each of you
as we travel along in this life.
I just hugged you in my thoughts, I
hope you felt the squeeze.

Have a great weekend.
Love,
Tracey
XO

  1. I have a few, knitting magazines in my stash but haven't bought any more because I have hardly made a fingerprint on any of my numerous knitting books, etc. I don't need the extra dust I'm afraid. Once in a while I'll buy a special edition of some theme from Interweave, like their Jane Austen knits or Harry Potter.

  8. I do exactly the same thing or even have been known to buy cd's just for the artwork on the jacket...It often affects my book choice too. I can't resist a good cover.
Your dress is beautiful so unusual and the orang shawl will work perfectly complimenting your dark eyes. Happy shawl knitting in the cooler climb.
