weekending, my favorite part of the week. a time to relax, live, love, just to be. if you'd like to share your weekend either with words, photographs, or both, leave a link to a weekend post in the comments. Joining with Amanda
Saturday was a girl's
day, hanging downtown
at the park, visiting
the library, browsing
the local shops and
finding a pottery class
to take this summer.
Breaking my yarn stash
challenge and buying
yarn for a few Christmas
presents, having sushi
for dinner and then
eating way too much
Valentines candy.
Sunday has brought
some much needed
rain, getting all the
socks folded from the
sock basket, listening
to Adele, baking pounds
of kale chips for snacking
and remembering to
be thankful for this
life I have...it's a
good weekend.
it sounds like a good weekend indeed!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful. Your photo makes me long for warm shore walks.
ReplyDeleteChristmas gifts! Egads, Tracey.

That quote is so appropriate for my weekend! Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you are having a lovely time
ReplyDeletecan't wait to hear about the pottery class! wheel? (never tried that!) --and Christmas planning!! (I'm still hunting for some pillows I stashed somewhere when I decorated for Christmas---sounds sort of like the missing Santas, doesn't it????) Can't think about next year until I sort out last year!!
ReplyDeletea good weekend!
Beautiful words and photograph, Tracey - what a lovely relaxed weekend. I haven't been tempted to break my challenge yet, but i have seen so many fab projects that I may yet. xxx
ReplyDeleteHello Tracey...that quote is so true.
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds lovely.
An allotment is just a area of land which is divided into plots for people to rent. I pay £20 a year for it. Luckily it is a 5 minute walk away from my home. I must plant my onion sets soon!
Much love to you.
You sound so much better! I am glad you are centered again. We just got the Adele cd. Glad you bought more yarn :)
ReplyDeleteLife is good - we tend to forget to enjoy it. Sounds like you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeletesounds lovely. I'm happy you got your rain finally! By all means, take mine and hand over a slice of sun.
ReplyDeleteyour weekend does sound like a lot of fun, i'm so impressed with your early christmas plans. your poem spoke of sadness, i'm hoping that things are okay? thinking of you here.

Sounds like a nice way to spend a weekend. Your onto it, already thinking of Christmas gifts!
ReplyDeleteA nice, peaceful weekend. Love your photo. I miss the water.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very enjoyable weekend. Oh the new yarn should be very soft...what will you be making with it. And kale chips are so yummy, but you need an awful lot to make 'pounds' of them. I usually make 2 bunches worth and they're gone in one sitting with 6 of us.
ReplyDeleteYes gratitude. What a fab weekend! Gorgeous photo. I love being near the water . . . . Smart woman getting ready for Christmas!

I always enjoy your quotes but this one really spoke to me this morning! So true...
ReplyDeleteAnd you beat me to the pottery class. Good for you. When I went to research online I was a bit nervous. I knew they would be costly but I didn't realize that promising 2 daughters that we would all go meant that we would have to start a savings account just toward that goal! Goodness. But get there we will!
Blessings, Debbie
Your post reminded me that I have Valentine's candy left, yay!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds fantastic.
Sounds like a loaded but fun weekend! I could only WISH that I got our sock basket matched and put away....
ReplyDeleteoff to check out your kale chips!
Sounds so nice, Tracey. I love Adele and sushi, too. (Not to mention Valentine's Day candy and buying yarn!)
ReplyDeletebagels, pottery and kale chips. that sounds great.
ReplyDeleteI like a few of Adeles songs...Turning Tables or whatever that one is...love that one.

I meant sushi, by the way. Amanda talked about bagels. All these weekending posts I can't keep them straight!
ReplyDeleteXO
Sounds like a peaceful and well enjoyed weekend.
ReplyDeleteKale chips?... I think I must try.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an especially lovely Saturday - I need one of those. And I do love a good rain day for accomplishing stuff, playing loud music, and my own addition of eating constantly, everything I see, all day long. Why is that a rain/snow day makes one (me) want to snack incessantly?... hmmm... as does late night blog reading... Off to the fridge! ;)
Have a lovely week Tracey!!
What water is this in the picture? It looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question on artsy ants:
We found a beautiful Hickory that compliments the hallway and kitchen tile perfectly.
Funny you're in the same stage of having the boxes laying around, I'll be thinking of you when I stumble over them :)
