YARN ALONG
~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Linking with Ginny
I first need to thank Ginny
for hosting the Quince & Co.
giveaway. I won three skeins
of yarn and have already ordered
more, along with the abigail cardi
pattern. I am so excited to begin,
but this will be my gift to myself
for finishing all my paper work
after the holidays. I also want
to thank Jacqui , as I was
the winner there too. I am not
sure how to express my gratitude
to everyone in this blogging
world for being just plain awesome
and for filling my heart with love.
You are all an amazing group of
women and my life is so
much brighter for having been
in contact with you. My dream is to
win the lottery [if I can ever remember
to buy a ticket] and treat us all
to a week long vacation in
Ireland. I have already started
looking at places for us to stay,
so ....it could happen [positive
thoughts]!
My biggest accomplishment
this week was finishing the
long stockings I have been
knitting for the wee one!
I worked all weekend on them
and was able to finish
Sunday night, even after
pulling out two inches because
of a careless mistake.
The wee one hasn't mentioned
them [out of sight, out of
mind] so they are going to
be wrapped and placed under
the tree.
I cast on a pair of fingerless
gloves I named 'chill-in'.
I am planning on knitting all
of my guys a pair and since they
are a quick knit, it is doable.
I am still reading White Truffles in Winter
and loving it. My only
complaint about the book is
with all the descriptions of
food it makes me hungry!
I want to wish all those celebrating
tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving!
What have you been up to
this week?
