GOURDS






Gourd [gawrd, gohrd, goord]:
noun
the hard-shelled fruit of any
of various plants, especially
those of Lagenaria siceraria
 (white-flowered gourd or 
 bottle gourd), whose dried
shell is used for bowls and
other utensils, and Cucurbita
pepo (yellow-flowered gourd),
used ornamentally.

  7. Gorgeous pictures! I love your pictures of a fruit or vegetable from flowering to fruit-it is an amazing progression to watch! We grow a few of those gourds, and I love their color and shape.
