WEEKENDING: FLOORING

weekending, my favorite part of the week. a time to relax, live, love, just to be. if you'd like to share your weekend either with words, photographs, or both, leave a link to a weekend post in the comments.
This weekend was...

Putting in the hardwood flooring
that has been acclimating in my
foyer for too long. Making lots
of pizza and cream puffs for
my flooring guys. [Thanks
to all of my sons.] Unpacking
boxes of books and wondering
if I really need to keep them all?
Picking blueberries from the
bushes and needing a ladder
to reach the top. All of my
watering is paying off because
the blueberries are huge.
Finishing my Crazy Sexy Diet
cleanse and thinking I will do
it again. Training for my first
marathon to take place in October.
Running at 6:00 A.M. is becoming
one of the favorite parts of my day.
Juicing pounds of spinach and
freezing in ice cubes for some
green juicing this winter. Knitting
a few dish cloths that will go in
Christmas baskets. Realizing
that Christmas is just six months
away and there is still so much I
want to do for the loves in my life.
How was your weekend?
xx

  1. When you mentioned you'd be running in October, I didn't realize you meant a marathon! That's amazing. I'm glad you're enjoying the training. We still have a couple of months to wait for blueberries but I'm watching our bushes grow and getting excited!

  3. What a busy delightful weekend you had!! I do hope you share your blueberries with us, they sound mahhvelous!! And training for a marathon? You are amazing. I tried that once in my 20's. Got to 13 miles and my knees screamed at me to stop torturing them. But I have to say I wouldn't mind walking a half marathon. You've got me thinking and inspired now :)!!

  5. Wow, you've been busy! The wood looks beautiful and no doubt those floors will give you great pleasure when they are done. Hope you post pictures. Books are always hard to get rid of. When I look through ours I think of the info. I may want to come back to or the fun I had reading a particular story. That always makes it hard to put them in the purge pile.

  7. How can Christmas possibly be just 6 months away. I am only just putting my tomatoes in the ground today. I talked to an elderly local yesterday who laughed saying, "you'd better hurry up and plant them so they can freeze. I'm having to replant, lost almost everything this week."

Congrats on the installation of the beautiful floor. Nothing quite like wood...

    Blessings, Debbie

  9. Ooo, healthy girl. I ran my 1st (and likely only) marathon the day before my 30th birthday. Such an incredible rush! I know...Christmas is upon us & I'm still trying to get teacher gifts, baby gifts, and birthday gifts underway. Yipes. Must knit faster! Oh, and I'm so jealous of your blueberry bushes...I have one baby one & it's not doing too well :-(

  11. Wow you're amazing --a marathon! I love your flooring. We pulled up the carpet when we moved here and polished the floor boards I love them. Today is Tuesday here and so my weekend post is already up if anyone would like to take a look

  12. Your flooring is beautiful - nothing like a hardwood floor. How can you make creams puffs when you are detoxing? I know I wouldn't be so strong. xx
