Clover's Daily Bread
2 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 Tablespoons warm water
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup honey
1 cup warm water
In a small dish, combine yeast, sugar and warm water. Let sit about 10 minutes. In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients along with yeast mixture. Mix well.
Knead dough for about 5 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a lightly greased bowl and turn dough over. Cover with a cloth and allow to rise until double in size. This usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
After dough has risen, punch down. Shape dough in a greased 9x4 loaf pan. Let rise until double in size; about an hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake loaf for 30 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
Enjoy with butter or jam.
What's the calorie count? Looks really good.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have no idea what the calorie count is for the bread. I don't count calories. Eat whatever you want in moderation and just enjoy life.
