being happy thing, and I feel like people
get lost when they think of happiness as
a destination....We're always thinking that
someday we'll be happy; we'll get that car
or that job or that person in our lives that'll
fix everything. But happiness is a mood,
and it's a condition, not a destination. It's
like being tired or hungry, it's not permanent.
It comes and goes, and that's okay. And
I feel like if people thought of it that way,
they'd find happiness more often."

{Tea olives and they smell amazing!}
After more than two years I finally
bound off my blanket. I didn't do
another repeat of the remaining
chart and I didn't do the edging
as written in the pattern, instead
I did a round of knit stiches, then
one of purl, then bound off, Just
the thought of spending anymore
time knitting this blanket made me
sad, and I don't ever want knitting
to feel like that so it was time to
finish this project. It still needs
the ends woven in and a good
blocking, but I think it will make
a nice family room throw and I
am content with it.
I'm ever so slowing working on
my sock and I am very excited to
cast on a new project. I am using
one of my favorite yarns, meadow,
and am going up a needle size to
meet gauge.
Reading is only happening late
at night and then only about half
a dozen pages before my eyes are
too heavy to stay open; it has nothing
to do with the story, life has just
been busy.
