YARN ALONG

"I love the marsh. I don't know
of any place that smells like this.
It's a magnificent smell. It's the
smell of where all life comes from."

~ Pat Conroy

After finishing my blanket
[which I posted about here]
I was excited to cast on a new
project and Follow Me is turning
out to be the perfect knit for
me right now. I love the simple
lines, the easy to remember
pattern and having time to
sit in the grass, watch the ibis.
listen to the water and knit
for a bit.

The House We Grew Up In
is still on my night stand.

  5. What a dreamy place you live...look at all that beauty that surrounds you, Tracey...wow! Loving the colorways you're working with and glad you have an easyish project after finishing your gorgeous leaves of grass. I spent the entire afternoon yesterday on the back porch reading and knitting which was pure bliss...75 degrees and clear blue skies!

  8. Great ibis photos! We are headed to the beach/brackish marshes this weekend for my birthday, weather permitting. Pretty yarn, as always. Do we ever get tired of saying, "Oh... what pretty yarn!"?

  9. Oh my- you always have the most incredible nature photos. It is really inspiring for me because I don't want to only take pictures of my girls and I used to have a nicer camera lens and had way more fun with creative photography for awhile. Maybe one day I'll have a nice camera again- for now I'll just drool over your photos and imagine your surroundings which are such a different landscape from the desert where I live!

  14. I tried commenting last night but my phone wouldn't let me- so...I was writing that I think the shawl is lovely ln its simplicity- sometimes I think we all get so worked up about making things so fancy...but "plain fancy" is so lovely too- this pattern is on my list for sure. What a peaceful spot to knit at Tracey.

  20. Wonderful photographs Tracey. It all looks so calm and peaceful here. I love the shawl. It's such a contrast from the blanket...both beautiful in their own right. It's nice to work on different projects.
Enjoy knitting in that beautiful peaceful spot amongst the blades of grass.
