I trust people I shouldn't
I'm quiet at times. I smile
a lot. I get left out a lot.
I try to look pretty, but
give up a lot. I've been hurt.
I don't like my appearance
at times. I'M NOT PERFECT!
But I'm just gunna be me
and see where life takes me.
This was a quiet weekend
filled with long walks in
the marsh, noticing all
the pretty autumn colors,
the first fire in the wood
stove, ,my arms a little
sore from hauling in
wood [I'm out of practice],
eating homemade tomato
dill soup for dinner,
sock knitting,
trying to embrace my new
hair cut and telling myself
it's just another step and
then I can grow it long again.
Wishing you a gentle start to
the new week.
Quick Tomato Dill Soup
Sauté 1 chopped red onion
in 2 Tablespoon butter until
soft, then add 2 chopped garlic
and continue cooking for a
minute or two.
Add 1 quart canned tomatoes
and heat until warm, puree' ,
then add 1 teaspoon dill weed,
salt and pepper to taste.
Add a little cream to pot, maybe
1/2 -3/4 cup [I didn't measure]
heat gentle, being careful not
to boil.
I sprinkle hemp hearts on my
bowl just before eating.

You are one, pretty lady. You walk a lot and I heard sweating/exercise helps hair growth. I like that quote. I feel awkward sometimes and certainly feel I grew up as a late bloomer.
ReplyDeleteThat was obviously a quote and not from your pen, right??? You are beautiful!
