all
at
once,
summer
collapsed
into
fall.
are coming right along and
I am almost done with the
leg of the second sock,
then it's on to the heels,
the really fun part of sock
knitting in my opinion.
After homeschooling all day I
wanted something light and fun
to read at night so I downloaded
What Alice Forgot, it's exactly
what I wanted.

I love those socks, so bright and fun. Have a great day Tracey.
ReplyDeleteI adore self striping socks in cheery colors! They always put a smile on my face during the cold and dreary month of the year. Have a great day!
ReplyDeletei just unpacked that book at the library yesterday....good, huh???? I'm looking for something and that just might be it. :) (Love that yarn!!!!----do you really (REALLY) think summer is about to collapse? I've got my fingers crossed!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch bright, cheerful yarn!!! I love it! And I love the way you knit socks....in tandem with each other. I've never caught that you did that. I may try it with the next pair of socks I work on! I think the heel is fun too!! Have a beautiful day :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like that book. Might have to get it. :) if only the weather would be a bit fallish then I'd be a tiny bit more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteIs that second photo of a black walnut tree? I always know that fall is here when the grocery store parking lot is littered with dropped black walnuts in one corner (there are three trees there). (:
ReplyDeleteIt's a pecan tree, I have nine on the property. The nuts are almost ready, but it will be a race with the squirrels as to who gets there first ;)
DeleteBeautiful socks! Love the basket too ~ Ive been eyeing them up but can't decide on a size yet. ~ via Ginny : )
ReplyDeleteThe socks are to dye for- love the color way Tracey. What a beautiful spot you live in- such gorgeous nature ( I would love to visit one day) Awesome big trees.

Turning the heel of a sock is most definitely the best part!
