of salads, radishes and herbs made me feel
like a mother about her baby -
how could anything so beautiful
be mine. And this emotion
of wonder filled me for each vegetable
of wonder filled me for each vegetable
as it was gathered every year. There is
nothing that is comparable to it,
nothing that is comparable to it,
as satisfactory or as thrilling, as gathering
the vegetables one has grown. ...

...And then baking something
[truly] wonderful with them.
I linked to it yesterday,
but after listening to
the [compliments] and
seeing how fast they
disappeared, I thought
I should link [again] just
to be sure you didn't miss it.
[Now] if I could just grow the
metabolism of a teenage
boy!

Those look so delicious! My teenage boys could eat a dozen of them and not gain an ounce, of course!
ReplyDeleteI can not believe you are getting zuch's already - and, oh, those lovely cupcakes.

Yummy, yummy! Look at all that sunshine and bounty!
ReplyDeleteThey look so yummy...we haven't even planted a garden yet...yours looks amazing...
ReplyDeleteZucchini blossoms are so lovely. And those cupcakes look amazing! I don't have any zucchini in my garden this year. We opted for pumpkins instead in our tiny space. No worry, though, they grow like mad up here and people practically pay you to take it off their hands. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh man, now I want cupcakes... they look good. Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love cupcakes (any kind!). I am in awe at your caffeine free diet :D Your garden pictures are lovely!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if you figure out that whole metabolism
ReplyDeletething let me know! Your pictures are gorgeous.

We LOVE making chocolate zucchini bread here. We just got our first zucchini last night and had zucchini herb garlic bread for dinner which is my favorite.

ReplyDeleteYum! Bookmarked these for the days we have an abundance of zucchini! I tried coming up with my own recipe for zucchini bread a few weeks ago but it needed tweaking - I'll try these in the meantime. Thanks for sharing!
