YARN ALONG

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Linking with Ginny
I am still knitting the cardigan
and at this rate probably will
for years and years. I needed
something that was a little smaller
to throw in my bag when I take
a car ride. I decided to make
another produce bag since I
am discovering I need a few more.
This one is in a green cotton with
white string running through it. I
plan on using it to hold cucumbers
since that is what it looks like,
don't you think?

I am reading The Crazy Sexy Diet on
my Kindle and my daughter is
reading the book. We are getting
ready to start the 21 day cleanse on
Monday.  It looks pretty easy since
this is the way I usualy eat...except
I have to give up coffee!
There might be a problem.
xx

What are you up to this week?

  1. Love your green cucumber bag! It will be very fitting colour wise. Giving up coffee is a big thing for sure. You will have to let us know how you feel after finishing the diet. Sounds interesting. I will have to check out the link. Jacinta

  4. Yep, me too. Giving up coffee is the kicker. I've been enjoying the juicing part for sure. Can't I have my cake and eat it too?? Love your produce bags and I think the color is perfect!!

  6. WHAT! No coffee? This would be a challenge for me;) You are making me want to cast on another project......produce bags. I did make two a couple of years ago and they were fun and fast. I think oranges in the green bag would look awesome!

  8. That book sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out. I started watching The Way Back last night. It's very interesting but I had to go to bed. I'll finish it hopefully tonight.
A produce bag! Brilliant idea! I think it is wise to have short and long projects in motion simultaneously. xo

  9. The cucumber bag is wonderful! Is the book by the same woman that wrote Crazy Sexy Cancer? If so, I am adding it to my list right now!! Good Luck with dropping the coffee... I did it almost a year ago now and I only miss it once in a while. I feel a LOT better too!

  10. I love your produce bags! Do you have a pattern you use?

I'm very interested to hear more about the cleanse. I think I should do a cleanse one of these days...after pregnancy, though. So nice you are doing it along with your daughter!

  12. What am I doing. Well, nothing crazy or sexy.
I read a little about this diet after your previous post.
Like you say, no doubt . . . healthy eating is the best possible way.
I love your bag colors. Great to tote just about any ol' thing.

  13. Oh I must get going on some produce bags! I love having "in the purse" projects. I must remember to share mine next week. Sorry to hear about the coffee problem - what's wrong with the author...clearly a person without children! ;0)

  14. Tracey, I'll be curious to read what you think about this book. The word "cleanse" always terrifies me, and I can't imagine giving up coffee. It's just about the only thing I drink all day long. So please post updates! ~Angela

  15. Great shot! :) When knitting, I always think of "Dory" from Finding Nemo, but instead of her saying "just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming..." I say "Just keep knitting, just keep knitting, just keep knitting, knitting, knitting!" LOL!

  16. Giving up coffee is downright awful and one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do. Be prepared to go through withdrawal. No, *really*.

I found switching over to decaf gives me just enough caffeine to get through the day.

But I'm sure the cleanse doesn't allow this.
