Since the completion of my sweater
I needed something easy on the mind
to knit. I picked Stacy's Mesh- Bamboo-Scarf
with just a few changes. I am using
a smaller needle [size 8] and for the
yarn I am using wool as I want the
scarf to go with a hat and fingerless
glove set that I will be giving as a
Christmas gift.
I have a great love for cookbooks
and love to curl up in a chair and
just read recipes. My newest
cookbook is Carb-Conscious Vegetarian.
Having Graves disease for the past
twenty four years plus getting older
my body has made me realize that I need
to back off from eating carbs as
much as I do. I am loving the
recipes in this book and cannot
wait for the vegetable garden
to start producing so that I can
try them all. xx

I love your yarn choices!! They are exactly my aesthetic :). You'll have to post some of your favorite recipes when you make them. Does Graves make you crave carbs? Or is it something you just have to stay away from :)? Have a great day Tracey!
ReplyDeleteLove the natural wool. Thanks for including the link.
ReplyDeleteIf only the snow would melt and I could get out and start digging in the dirt... Knitting will have to wait once that happens.
Have a good week!
beautiful yarn! and cookbooks are a weakness for me as well...i tend to read them as one would a novel.
ReplyDeleteLovely wool and your completed sweater looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh the thyroid! Carbs are so tempting and so bad for all of us. I think most of us could benefit from that book...
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is fabulous! Love the wool for your next project. And I too love cookbooks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by for a visit today.
Blessings, Elizabeth
Thank you for linking to my Mesh Bamboo Scarf pattern, Tracey. This evening I received a photo from someone who knit it in wool on bigger needles with a slit to make it a keyhole-type scarf and it looked great.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you have Grave's Disease. I don't know much about it and will look more closely at the Wikipedia article. Cookbooks aren't my favorite, but carbs sure are.
Hi - thanks for dropping by. I love the wool your are using for your scarf. And that looks like a good book - I love cookbooks. Carbs are just one of those fall back things for me, when I can't think of anything else, so some fresh ideas are often needed. Hope you keep well. xx
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! The pictures are beautiful!
